Susanne Herbold participates with her work “No Expectations 2.0” in the 68th Annual Exhibition of the EVBK (Europäische Vereinigung Bildender Künstler aus Eifel und Ardennen). The curated group exhibition shows works by artists from Belgium, Germany, France and Luxembourg from 4 July to 2 August 2026 at Konvikt – Haus der Kultur in Prüm.
Curated Selection from 356 Submissions
The news arrived by email: “No Expectations 2.0” was selected from 356 submitted works by 193 artists for the 68th Annual Exhibition of the EVBK. 107 works convinced the jury — mine is one of them.
The EVBK is one of the oldest cross-border artists’ associations in Europe, with members from Belgium, Germany, France and Luxembourg. The annual exhibition is not an open art market but a curated show — which makes this selection particularly meaningful to me.
No Expectations 2.0 — Process as Artistic Stance
“No Expectations 2.0” continues the exploration of trust, change and openness that already defined “No Expectations 1.0”. Lines shift, colours respond to one another, forms remain in motion. The work places process above result — it describes a state in which development is not planned but allowed to unfold. In relation to its predecessor, it deepens this dialogue: it invites the viewer to release control and experience change as creative space.
The work is already in the possession of a collector and is being made available for this exhibition — a final public chapter before it moves into its new private collection.
I will be personally present at the vernissage on 4 July at 3:00 pm. If you are in the region — I would love to see you there.

Exhibitions & Context
Participation in the EVBK Annual Exhibition is part of a continuous international exhibition practice — including the XV Florence Biennale in Florence and Red Dot Miami during Miami Art Week. An overview of all exhibitions can be found in the exhibition archive.
In parallel, work in the studio continues on the RAW. series — small-format works on canvas (50 × 40 cm) that follow the same impulse as “No Expectations 2.0”: process over result.
